Delete your account in Hängmed
Hängmed is published by Keldric (enskild firma), a sole proprietorship in Sweden. This is how you delete your account and your data.
You can delete your account directly in the app:
- Open Profile.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
This works even if your account is suspended. A suspended account can still log in, read the notice about the suspension and delete the account.
This is what happens:
- Your account and your profile are deleted.
- Your cards are deleted, with all requests and chats on them.
- Your requests on other people's cards are deleted, with the chats.
- Notices we have sent you are deleted.
- Chats you have had with others also disappear for them.
- The app tries to remove your profile picture. If that fails, the file may remain, because there is not yet any automatic clean-up. Email us and we will remove it.
- Reports and statistics events remain, but the link to your account is removed. The text in a report may still mention you.
- If your account was suspended, a hashed phone number is kept for 24 months from the deletion (see section 7).
- If we have removed a card or suspended the account, the moderation log remains for 7 months from the decision (see section 7).
- Copies in backups disappear when they are overwritten (see section 7).
Can't get into the app? Email kontakt@hangmed.app and tell us which phone number the account has. We check that the number is yours, for example by sending an SMS to the number and asking you to reply. Then we delete the account within 30 days.
More about what we store and for how long is in the privacy policy, sections 7 and 8.
